The 2010 Independent Male Vocalist of the Year, Luke O’Shea has grown into being one of Australia’s most respected country singer songwriters. Known for his storytelling and powerful live shows, multi- award winner Luke O’Shea along with his band Medicine Wheel, have a unique, yet classic Australian sound.
Spending his twenties eating up the world in what Luke describes as his “glorious wasted year,” Luke absorbed universal themes and personal stories that resonate deep within all human DNA. With an uncanny knack of cutting to the core, his razor lyrics combined steadfast skill and honesty leave the listener open and unguarded.
Luke O’Shea released his 4th CD ‘The Drovers Wife’ at this years 40th Tamworth Country Music Festival, and the standing room at each and every show reflects the reason we travel so far and wide to hear great country music. It's all in the stories and Luke is a master story teller.
“Many country music enthusiasts will agree, the ability to weave story and meaning into song is one of the traits of a gifted songsmith. That being the case, in tradesmen terms, Luke O’Shea is a master craftsman” Matt Lawrence, Capital News 2012.
“Luke is a talent we need in this country not only for his music but for his understanding and vision”
